L'Estabel (Cabrieres)

Not all French wine co-operatives are created equal and L’Estabel is one of the best. It was the first co-operative ever to have been named a Vigneron de l’Année by the influential French wine guide the Guide Hachette and the wines so impressed Jancis Robinson two years ago she popped in to stock up her nearby holiday home. Recommendations don’t get much better than that.

This is the fourth year we have shipped from them and the Fulcrand Cabanon wines have gained a strong following amongst our customers. The key is the precious schist soils of the Cabrières region whose wines were celebrated way back at the court of Louis XIV. Y
