Chenin Blanc
Chenin Blanc is South Africa’s finest white grape and its finest Old Vine examples have the potential to stand out as the finest in the world. The wines have a concentration, depth and balance that is utterly compelling. These precious vineyards are being celebrated and promoted by the country’s Old Vine Project which certifies labels of old vine wines and states the year the vineyard was planted. It is an excellent project that should help South African wine protect its best terroirs well into the future. Du Bois's Sonop is a fantastic example.
