The Kaiserberg is no mountain - it's a gentle hill with clay soils in front of the old Schloss in Halbturn. Sankt Laurent aged only in older barrels. Note - this is young, and decanting is recommended so that this delicious wine opens out and shows its best. Rich, berried scent with a cassis hint. That same, seductive cassis / framboise quality (which owner and winemaker Franz Schneider says derives from the vineyard) permeates the wine, offering extravagant fruit, gorgeously ripe, yet with moderate alcohol. Long finish, with lasting red fruit. Honestly, pour this blind for friends and they will be astonished. Now-2029
