Mas de Brousses (Terrasses du Larzac)

Geraldine Combes and her husband Xavier Peyraud are winemaking royalty, although you’d never know that by the friendly, humble welcome we always receive. Xavier’s grandparents were Lucien and Lulu Peyraud of the renowned Domaine Tempier in Bandol, and he brought cuttings of Tempier’s famous Mourvèdre to Geraldine’s organically farmed family vineyards in the beautiful Terrasses du Larzac appellation north of Montpellier - “the rising star of the Languedoc” according to the Oxford Companion to Wine.

The wines are among the most elegant and age worthy we ship from anywhere in France. Their reds combine pure, focused fruit with supple, ripe tannins and wild garrigue character while the brilliantly distinctive white is serious and gastronomic. We tasted the new vintages at a small wine tasting in Paris with the city’s top sommeliers who love these wines as much as we do.
