Chateau du Seuil, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, 2025

This is our top selling Provence rosé. Chateau du Seuil is located, north of the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence on plains 350m above sea level. The vines have been farmed organically since 2020 and the elevated aspect gives the wines a beautiful freshness and focus. Grenache leads the way here with Syrah, Cinsault and Cabernet Sauvignon completing the blend. The 2025 vintage in Provence was hot and dry producing concentrated, ripe wines. This has delicate orange blossom, redcurrant and...

Grenache / Garnacha

Grenache grows well in hot, dry regions, though it can develop very high (15 degrees+) alcohol.

As such it is grown principally in Southern France and Spain (as Garnacha). It is usually blended with other varieties in the Southern Rhône and Languedoc (Syrah, Mourvedre, Carignan, Cinsaut and others).

Chateau Ferry Lacombe, Naos, Cotes de Provence Rose, 2025

Naos is a Greek temple or shrine and the name of the estate's “château wine” – the cuvée that best represents the estate style and sourced from vines surrounding the family home. This is always a very impressive wine but the 2025 might be the best vintage yet. 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, it is intense and concentrated with watermelon, citrus and subtle raspberry fruit. Now-2027

Chateau Ferry Lacombe, Equinoxe, Cotes de Provence Sainte-Victoire Rose, 2025

This is Ferry Lacombe’s top rosé, made from vines in the designated ‘cru’ area of Sainte-Victoire. A big hit with our top rosé customers last year, the 2025 is 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache. The palest of pales in the glass with a satin-like texture and an abundance of mulberry and lemon fruit. Excellent. Now-2028.

Le Tende, Chiaretto di Bardolino, Classico, 2025

Chiaretto simply means “pale” in Italian and this is a beautiful, food-friendly rosé from the banks of Lake Garda. Made from organically grown Corvina with a little Rondinella, the colour all comes from the lightly pressed juice; so no skin contact at all. Vibrant and delicious, it has crunchy redcurrant fruit and is perfect with classic Italian antipasti. Now-2027
Chiaretto di Bardolino is the most popular rosato in Italy (only Cerasulo di Abruzzo runs it close).  Le...

Domaine de la Ribotte, Bandol Rose, Cuvee Anais, 2025

Ribotte is a tiny but highly rated estate run by mother Laurence (the first female winemaker in Bandol) and her son Nicolas. From inland, terraced vineyards, based on the characterful Mourvèdre grape, their top wine is a serious, gastronomic rosé that is perfect with Provençal food. Peach and redcurrant flavours with a savoury edge. Long, perfumed finish. 13.5%. Now-2028
Bandol, a small appellation on the coast east of Marseilles and west of Toulon, produces the finest rosés in...

Domaine de la Ribotte

Bandol, France

The Domaine de la Ribotte is a family affair. Maurice Desblache’s grandfather bought the domaine which is now run by Maurice’s wife Laurence, the first female winemaker in Bandol, and their son Nicolas.

I came across their rosé while judging gold medal winners at the Decanter World Wine Awards. When we traced the family we were surprised to...

Chateau Leoube, Cotes de Provence, Leoube 2025

Another very good vintage from the team at Léoube, one of the few premium brands of Provence rosé where the quality of the wine matches the marketing. Predominantly Grenache and Cinsault with a little Syrah and Mourvèdre. Crystalline red berry and citrus flavours. Very long and refreshing. Now-2027
The Léoube estate lies on the Cap Bénat, a peninsular on the Var coast an hour from St Tropez and just below the hilltop town of Bormes-les-Mimosa. It’s a stunning spot, including...

Great choice of good-value wines in the January sales. The website is really easy to use to make up an order. Delivery, as is often the case, was within 24 hours and, as usual, was well-packed.
