Domaine des Espiers, Vacqueyras

Philipppe Cartoux at Espiers was one of our early finds in the Rhône over twenty years ago. He assembled the plots which make up the estate together himself from 1989 - which he admits no young vigneron could afford to do today. His daughter Amélie is increasingly helping in the cellar. We have always offered a range of his gorgeously fruited reds - fermented in concrete tanks under the cellar - but the Diablotines white is delicious this vintage. All wines are organic and effectively “natural”, with very low levels of sulphur.
