We kick off the autumn with a stunning tasting of Italian wines in Stockbridge. With about 30 wines open for an informal, walk-round tasting, we will be able to showcase the diversity and value we have unearthed: from the well-priced whites and reds of the sunny Mezzogiorno to the grand heights of Tuscan Sangiovese and Nebbiolo from Piemonte; and from the refreshing mountain whites of Alto Adige down to the ripe reds of Salento in the heel of Italy. New to our portfolio this autumn are the fascinating wines of Giovanni Molettieri in Campania - and we welcome the return of popular wines from Lupinaie on the Tuscan coast and Michele Biancardi in Puglia. With fizz, white, rosé, reds and sweet wine to taste, and wines from under £12 to around £30, there should be wines for every taste and budget.
Around 7.30pm Federico Firino - who many of you know as “Fed”, the manager of our shop in Stockbridge - will make a short speech drawing attention to his favourite wines and styles. In short: wonderful wines and some light education in the charming setting of Meadow Stockbridge.
