This small appellation adjoins Pomerol to the north, and it is capable of producing wines rivalling those of its illustrious neighbour. Named after the original owner of this plot (which Frederic Borderie bought a decade ago), this is from 60% Merlot with 20% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, grown on gravelly soils over a ferrous sub-strata; and about 20% of the wine going into barrel.
