Longer evenings, daffodils popping up, a hint of warmth in the sunshine… Spring is (finally) here. On the food and wine front, that means fewer hearty, slow cooked dishes accompanied by hefty reds , and the return of some lighter, fresher fare. Think unoaked whites and bright reds from Italy or  zesty, dry Austrian Rieslings (amazing with Thai or Vietnamese dishes). 

We are also focusing on some of the classics: Rioja, top Chardonnay and great bang for buck Bordeaux; claret's textbook balance of fruit and weight make it brilliant with simply cooked spring lamb….
