The Imperial range from CVNE is made only in exceptional vintages. It is almost 100% Tempranillo and it comes from the oldest wines in the estate. The wine spends a minimum of 12 months in a mixture of American and French oak before spending at least a further year in bottle before release. There is a delicious mix of red and dark fruit. Blackcurrant, ripe strawberry and plum. This is accented by delicious notes from the oak, baking spice and a touch of vanilla. A true show stopper. This really is Rioja from the very highest of drawers. Now - 2030
