From halves of Roussanne and Vermentino (Rolle), grown on limestone soils (the Calcaires), and just a little aged in old barrels. Floral perfume (irises?) plus citrus peel. The Roussanne brings stone fruit and an appealing lemon curd note; the Vermentino herbal hints. There’s weight apparent alongside a certain chalkiness.
