From the cool crest of the Top Paddocks vineyard, with an archaic Burgundy style label. Mainly in old oak with occasional bâtonnage, and not filtered, fined or stabilized before bottling. Rounder and fuller in style but with an acid backbone and should age well. Franco says this has contained power, will be long lived and is one of the best 1er Chardonnays he has made. “The bouquet is ethereal yet arrests attention, but it's the amazing intensity of the wine on the palate that’s breathtaking. The grapefruit/white peach duo meet their match with the electrifying acidity, creating layers of flavour that are welded together, yet never say too much.
