As the Italians have somehow persuaded the EU that the name of the Vermentino grape variety should be applied only to wines from Italy, the Vermentino here has been renamed as Rolle (by which Vermentino is known in Provence).
Inviting aroma of pears and wild flowers as well as a pinch of peppery spice. I can see why this is one of Stone, Vine & Sun's bestsellers. it is packed with flavour, tastes bone dry but has a richness of fruit and lots of texture, almost chewy. Open, stone fruited attack gives way to a more gentle, pine-scented, well-textured mid-palate. Fruity but finishes dry.
