It’s back in stock! One of our most fascinating exclusivities, the barrel fermented Chardonnay from the Pandolfi Price family in cool southern and coastal Itata. Heady scent – a mix of toast, butter and honey; slightly (and deliberately) oxidative. That butteriness is dominant in the mouth, lending a richness which vies with the toasted hazelnut flavours. There’s a butterscotch note too, but it’s not over-done; there’s a vein of acidity running through it and an almondy finish. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again because it’s accurate – this is a Chilean Chardonnay very much in the style of an old-fashioned Meursault. Now-2028
