This is a well-sited vineyard: the upper part of Les Robardelles is actually 1er Cru and the vineyard borders Les Santenots. Vines planted in 1946. 20% in new oak. Such a pretty nose - strawberries with hints of spice and fruit leaf. Stunningly pure, piercing and gorgeous red fruit. Easy to say it's definitive Volnay - once one has seen the label! - in its silkiness and elegance. Already lovely to drink but there are ripe tannins for keeping as well. Now-2029
