Fiorano’s Paolo Beretta and Paola Massi make wines that exemplify perfectly the virtues of small scale, organic cultivation. The couple tend just 5 hectares of grass-covered vineyards in a beautiful, natural amphitheatre on the eastern side of the Apennines, about 15km from the Adriatic Sea. The wines are made with a very light touch and all exhibit an entrancing purity of fruit. New for this year is Fluente, a vibrant, unoaked red made from Montepulciano full of brooding, bramble fruit.
