The biggest change to the Le Tende wines in 2026 is the smart new labelling. What hasn’t changed is the quality in the bottle. These are unpretentious wines from somewhat unheralded appellations, but they consistently win the highest awards from Italy’s top wine guides and critics. The vineyards are to be found on the south-east corner of Lake Garda and the wines themselves are all organic and show an entrancing brightness and finesse. The 2025 Bardolino has been one of our wines of the summer but we won’t let the shorter nights stop us enjoying it. The bright, expressive red fruit will be a fine match for all sorts of autumnal dishes.
