Just 36 bottles are available. Traditionally, Albillo Mayor was added to the reds of Ribera del Duero to soften and add some complexity (much as Viognier was to the Syrah of Côte-Rôtie). We are now seeing a few stand-alone white wines being made from it and they are all the rage with Madrid’s top sommeliers. After 16 months in French oak this is a delightful mix of spiced herbs and stone fruit. White peach, fresh apricot, grapefruit and sage all come together to create a wonderful gastronomic and complex wine. Now-2028
