This wine is a brilliant example of the innovation being conducted in Ribera del Duero at the moment. There is a growing focus on terroir and the results are fantastic. This wine is from one single vineyard of 80 year old vines grown at 900m. above sea level. It spends 19 months in barrel before release. There is a thrilling nose of aromatic red fruit, rose petals and ripe plums. The palate is intense, long with more dark fruit and spice appearing. A wine for enjoying now but will age brilliantly.
