"Mid golden pink. Fruity and open – orange-skinned plums and a mix of red fruits, just a touch smoky. Not bone dry but dryish and the acidity and the very slight grip in the texture balance the little bit of sweetness on the finish. Simple, refreshing, easy pleasure. Good party wine." 15.5/20. Drink 2025–2026, Julia Harding MW, www.jancisrobinson.com, 22nd November 2025

This is made by the Drusian family (of Prosecco fame) from their recently purchased vineyards beside Feltre in the northernmost Belluno sector of the Veneto, in the foothills of the Dolomites. This pink sparkler is not a Rosato Prosecco: Prosecco is made from the Glera grape - this is far superior, being 100% Pinot Nero (Pinot Noir). Made in the same way as Prosecco (i.e. in a closed tank), this is a gently fizzy, very pale pink glass of red fruit - wild strawberries tinged with pear. Fine mousse. Very lightly savoury, this makes a perfect aperitif, and a bottle vanishes very quickly indeed. Now-2026

Great choice of good-value wines in the January sales. The website is really easy to use to make up an order. Delivery, as is often the case, was within 24 hours and, as usual, was well-packed.
