"This is an excellent one to take note of for medium-term drinking - loaded up with succulent black fruits that have clear ripeness, blackberry, cinnamon, coffee and spice box notes. Lovely stuff from this (relatively small, 8.75ha) Pauillac estate owned by brothers Ludovic and Julian Meffre. I hesitated over 91 or 92 but frankly the value here is worth being generous. Owned by the Meffre brothers, Bellegrave lies in an enviable spot between the Pichons and Lynch-Bages. From 66% Cabernet and 34% Merlot in this vintage; and 40% new barrels.
