New for this year. Henri Bourgeois was one of the winemakers who helped put Sancerre on the map in the 1950s and 1960s. Always a visionary, he was one of the first French winemakers to recognise the potential for great Sauvignon from New Zealand and started buying land in Blenheim over twenty-five years ago. The estates – both in Sancerre and Marlborough – are now managed by his grandsons Arnaud, Lionel and Jean- Christophe. We started on the 2023 but have just switched to the fresher 2024 vintage. This is a very impressive organic NZ Sauvignon with restrained tropical fruit and notes of peach, orange blossom and lime. Fantastic with shellfish. Now-2028
