The 100% Cinsault 2024 Le Beret Bleu is Sebastien’s homage to the wines of his grandfather Jean, who appears on the label. This is a pure expression of grape and soil. Very pure on the nose with pretty, perfumed raspberry fruit alongside some floral violet notes. The twinkle-toed palate follows through with just crushed bilberry and damson galore. There is just enough tannin to frame the fruit and add the necessary backbone. The 12% alcohol is remarkably low for this part of France...
