The Northbrook vineyard, nestled on the edge of the South Downs near the village of Bishop’s Waltham, is one of
England’s oldest commercial vineyards – with some of the Bacchus vines planted in 1988. Owned by the Tuttiett family since 2001, the focus is now very much on top quality sparkling wines made from classic Champagne grape varieties. The Classic Cuvée is a blend of 58% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 12% Pinot Meunier, and is very English in style: dry and focused with lemon, quince and bramley apple fruit enhanced by subtle almond and pastry notes. It was a very comfortable winner in our recent staff blind tasting of new English sparklers and comes highly recommended. Now-2027
