Cabannes is a tiny seven hectare estate bought by Canadian Peter Kjeilberg in 1997. He replanted five hectares – so those now mature vines complement others planted in 1965, all farmed organically (in conversion for the 2022 vintage). 100% Merlot, this goes into 30% new oak (restrained by SEGC standards); and that shows in its approachability.
