A Blagheur, in the local half-French dialect, is one who exaggerates. But this is no bluffer – this is a delicious Nebbiolo, just rounded by a year of ageing in a mix of old vats and used oak French barrels.
Soft pale and transparent tone; textbook strawberry perfume; and the same juicy and bright red fruit dominates the palate, fragrant and silky. Supple, with true Nebbiolo aromatics, this tastes better than cheap co-op Barolo. Now-2027
