Cremant is the name given to traditional method French sparklers that are made outside of Champagne. Burgundy, the Loire, Alsace, Jura, Limoux and Bordeaux all have their own versions. The best wines have been sought out by savvy drinkers for many years as they recognise the value compared to entry-level Champagne. Outside of France, the best Methode Cap Classique wines from South Africa are exceptional and don’t forget England… the Northbrook is an excellent new player on the scene and perfect for summer.
