Only seven producers work in the tiny IGP of Vicomte D’Aumelas. The vineyards lie between the Herault river and the Aumelas hills just to the west of Montpellier. Here Clos de L’Amandaie have a small plot of old vine Carignan which they use to make this wine. The grapes are given a short maceration to create a youthful and approachable style of wine. Vibrant red fruit with a slight rustic note. This is a bright wine that would be perfect with a plate of saucisson. Now-2023
