Sweet and/or Fortified Wines for Christmas

‘Tis the season for trifle, Christmas pudding and Yule logs – and the golden rule for pudding and wine matching is the wine must be sweeter than the pudding. Our top tip from this section is a glass of lightly chilled (not too cold!) Rivesaltes Ambré served with mince pies and a mature Somerset farmhouse Cheddar – epic!
