"I was heartened to see one new merchant, with the first encouraging traces of aggression, Stone Vine and Sun, and launching its first list with the credo: 'Stone Vine and Sun was named after the three most imporant influences on a bunch of grapes, and therefore wine: the earth, the plant and the weather. It reflects our belief that wines should have a sense of place, and should be rooted in rock and stone rather than be the product of an agri-business, blending wines from irrigated plains.
