Lighter Reds for Chilling

Every year some influencer or other will declare that chilled reds is the ‘trend of the summer’ causing a wry smile at SVS HQ. We’ve long advocated giving reds a short spell in the fridge or ice bucket in warm weather. Lowering the temperature just a few degrees will accentuate the acidity and bright fruit of reds, exactly what we want when the sun has got his hat on. The trick works for lots of reds, but particularly lighter styles such as the ones listed below.
