From halves of Grenache and Syrah. Dark and glossy purple. Tons of fruit: crunchy raspberry and black cherry with hints of liquorice and Kirsch. Surprisingly expansive for a wine at this price – and with all that gorgeous fruit and bright acidity it can stand up to any dishes on the robust to spicy spectrum. Now-2023
"50:50 Grenache and Syrah. Certified organic. 'Near natural' winemaking and unfiltered. Fairly dark crimson. Very sweet fruit on the nose – almost a candy store. Good for those who want a really powerful blow between the eyes. I could imagine some hugging this bottle at a barbecue but I wouldn't. Drink 2020-2023. From an unfailingly reliable, small co-operative between Avignon and Nîmes. All wines here are from sustainably or organically farmed grapes, made naturally (i.e. without any additives bar the merest bit of sulphur to ensure stability) and bottled unfiltered, so they may be slightly hazy.
