"Funnily enough, this is the first wine we have ever reviewed from this vineyard just south-east of Pommard Fremiers. Mid crimson Quite a powerful nose, and definitely concentrated Pommard-ish (unlike so many Pommards in 2017). Fine tannins are here in abundance and yet the rather pretty fruit dominates.  This should have a long and charming life. Undertow of ripe but crunchy-textured fruit. Not a silly price for this quality. 17.5/20. Drink 2027-2042" Jancis Robinson MW tasted 13th January 2018

Vines planted in 1955 by Thiébault’s grandfather. This 1er cru on the slopes a little below Les Rugiens to the south of the village is known to produce amongst the most feminine wines in the appellation. Includes 30% whole bunch fermentation. Unusually for Pommard, this has an amazing transparency. Gorgeous red fruit with savoury notes, fleshy, this is powerful and elegant. The final is all cherry and long. Fine wine. 2020-2028

Please note this wine is not available for immediate delivery. We will contact you when the wine arrives in the UK, most likely in the autumn.
