Domaine Begude, Le Secret du Sud Gewurztraminer, IGP Pays d’Oc, 2016

Screwcap

In the Financial Times today 2nd Dec. and on jancisrobinson.com; A wonderland of winter whites, Jancis Robinson MW strongest recommendations for the festive season. "Organically grown on the hills above Limoux with the view of the Pyrenees (in winter) shown above. Recognisably perfumed but with a dry finish and an attractive streak of lime. A deep gold, screwcapped white that could stand up to many foods more readily associated with red wine."

Daily Mail 100 best value Summer Whites and Sparklers."This magically scented wine is my all-time favourite gewürztraminer – if you love this grape you must taste it." Matthew Jukes in the Daily Mail 27th May 2017

Low cropped, from just 0.7 ha of vines on chalky soil in the Domaine’s coolest vineyard, and a properly dry example of this aromatic grape. Distinctive rose petal perfume. Well textured with flavours of rose water, lychee and citrus. Cool acid spine. Perfect summer aperitif. Now-2019
