Suduiraut is one of the historic Sauternes estates, 1er Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. Lions is made to be enjoyed young (so for example goes into just 10% new oak barrels) but is made with similar care to the grand vin: the fruit picked over five passages though the vines between 4th September and 27th October, giving a miserly yield of just 18 hectolitres per hectare.
