"Very ripe aromas of peaches, nectarine, yellow apple, quince and hints of honeysuckle, with ginger undertones. Lovely harmony of fruit on the palate, creamy texture".Gold Medal and 95/100, 2023 Decanter World Wine Awards.

Open, stimulating scents of grapefruit peel, pureed nectarines, and sweet melon. Ripe grapefruit and stone fruit heart, plus notes of quince and barley water. Splendidly intense at the price, lots of energy but some grip there too. Now-2024

Piekenierskloof (the name of a ward, the smallest geographical unit in the South African regional classification, as well as the estate owned by two brothers) is fortunate to have a great heritage of old Rhône varieties, red and white. This is from bush vines planted in 1987 on koffieklip and loam; and fermented in old oak vats.
