Named after a type of sessile oak; from parcels of 58 year old vines on the very stony fields at Les Chassis, aged for 12 months in new, one and two year old demi-muids, 600 litre barrels. Inky hue. Intensely black-fruited, showing the acid crunch of fresh blackcurrants. Dark chocolate accents. Great mass and length. All perfectly in balance. Note to self: buy some magnums to lay down. 2022-2030
