MAGNUM Faiveley, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, Les Cazetiers 2017

"Here the wood regimen is no longer subtle though it stops short of masking the beautifully layered aromas of plum, spice, dark currant and freshly turned earth. The highly energetic and delineated middle weight plus flavors exude noticeable minerality on the powerful and focused finish that displays outstanding depth and persistence. Moreover, the finish really fans out as it sits on the palate. (Drink starting 2029)" 91-94 Points, Allen Meadows,  Burghound, January 2019

Les Cazetiers, reaching 370m., is one of the highest plots in the Cotes de Nuits Tucked in between La Combe aux Moines and Clos St. Jacques, it delivers a flagship wine at Faiveley. Intense cherry and raspberry aromas lead to a black fruited and fleshy palate with a touch of sweet spice. Layered and powerful, this is typical Les Cazetiers, very complete. Now-2032
