A puttony was a measure used for the shovels of late picked, very sweet and botrytised grapes added to dry Tokay wines to sweeten them: the higher the number of puttonyos, or putts, on the label the sweeter the wine: 5 putts calls for a minimum of 120 grams of residual sugar per litre but this has a much higher level. Based on Furmint with Hárslevelú, this is indeed sweet, with flavours of apricots tinged with dried figs and raisins, but it also has a lemony spine; and excellent persistence. Now-2029
