The Maury's Vermentino (a grape also known as Rolle in Provence) has become one of our benchmark wines, sold in splendid volumes to our private customers and Michelin starred restaurants alike. Open, stone fruited attack gives way to a more gentle, pine-scented, well-textured mid-palate. Fruity but finishes dry. This is a fine all-rounder, as good an aperitif as with mediterranean fish or vegetable dishes. Now-2023
Vermentino loves the climate of the shores of the Mediterranean - from the Languedoc to Corsica, Liguria and Tuscany. Of the 2019 vintage Jancis Robinson wrote: "It's no surprise that this smartly packaged wine is one of Stone, Vine & Sun's best-sellers. It's whistle-clean and beautifully balanced on the high wire between fruit and acid but, just as importantly, its marine-influenced dried fruit mix of aromas strongly recall Vermentino in its Sardinian homeland in the most agreeable way.
