After a generation of experimentation (often with multiple wines, and including some oddball essays such as Alsace Pinot Gris), New World Pinot Noir has emerged as the top wine to accompany the Christmas turkey: it has the savouriness to work perfectly with not just the turkey but stuffing, sausages, etc.; the ripeness to stand up to the sweet elements (like cranberry sauce); and it’s light enough to enjoy in a little more than moderation. So here are three, all with some bottle age, at different budget points for your consideration.
