Fruit for this wine is sourced from the Gimblett Gravels and Ngatarawa sub-regions of Hawkes Bay. The Merlot is rounded with small additions of Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Mid ruby colour. This has soft brambly fruit , whilst the subtle oaking gives creamy toffee nuances. Assertive, ripe tannins give an almost Italianate structure. Now-2014
