The Heartland wines are overseen by the Glaetzer family. About half Cabernet Sauvignon, with Shiraz, Dolcetto and Lagrein, all in old barrels, mainly French. This is always a mellow, plum-and-spice wine, and the Italian varieties now in the blend add some vivacity. Now-2013
