A cool July and August, with oidium, mildew and hail meant a great deal of work was needed in the vineyards to remove damaged and unhealthy fruit. The weather was fine during harvest which started on 24th September, and further hand sorting ensured the quality of grapes entering the winery. Etienne Grivot declares the resulting wines "harmonious and luscious, with good colour" - something he could not have anticipated during the miserable summer months.
