From a very sunny, well-exposed site, this has become one of our benchmark wines: lightly (almost undiscernibly) oaked and with an ability to age well. As usual, appley scents. Very textured (those old vines), offering a rich mid-palate with echoes of apples, greengages and cream. Excellent mineral balance, and a sustained finish. Now-2013
