Frederic Borderie’s principal wine, 2/3 Merlot with about equal portions of Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc, unoaked. Deep hue but clear. Pretty scent of strawberries, cherries and vanilla. Berries on the entry too, but the mid palate develops with blackberry and plum. Deliciously ripe, concentrated and elegant, with fine tannins and a long, perfumed finish. We challenge you to find a better unoaked Bordeaux rouge! Now-2014
